cbed rebrand

The Center for Black Educator Development faced brand identity issues from collaborating with multiple agencies.

Visual Identity

While leading a small team of designers at Mighty Engine, we preserved the integrity of the logo while enhancing and purposefully refining the color palette, typography, and photo treatment. This transformation was meticulously executed to forge a stronger and more unified brand presence while being current with new trends.

Brand Guidelines

We went through an exercise of defining the Center for Black Educator Development's mission, vision, core beliefs, visual supportive elements and color contrast to support instruction for brand use.
The old brand had busier deliverables, less defined margins, multiple call outs and treatments that made the eye bounce around. The new brand approach was to slim things down creating a sleek and direct feel using consistent font hierarchy, newly introduced gradient and photo treatment.

New Brand Template

Old Site

Upon taking over this client, I observed that the previous website featured a flat color scheme and appeared visually cluttered.

New Site

The website redesign strategically integrated additional elements from the reestablished color palette. By employing color and visual elements, we aimed to convey a more compelling narrative while ensuring a streamlined and uncluttered user experience.

Social Media

As a collaborative team, we harnessed innovative typography and vibrant color palettes to craft captivating visuals. Additionally, we equipped the client with reusable Canva templates, ensuring they have a versatile toolkit for various requirements

Presentation Design

Designed Google Slides presentations and a template to empower the client in maintaining consistent brand aesthetics.

Print Design

CBED's  print materials catered primarily to Funders and Supporters. These comprehensive reports or leave-behinds intricately highlighted programs, qualitative data, quotes, and profiles.
